Monday again

How is it Monday again?

So this weekend I had a surprise when the nurse came to take the pump back.  After she took everything off, cleaned up she checked the bag of chemo and it was still full.  We can’t figure out how that happened but the pump gave all indications it was working.  It pumped every few minutes like always, it never gave an alarm that something was wrong and it read that it have given me the full bag of chemo.  Not the stress I needed as the nurse asked if I wanted to be hooked back up to the pump for another 46 hours.  Today I will talk with my doctor to see what he would want me to do but I really don’t think I am mentally prepared for another 46 hours of pumpy.

Also this morning I will be visiting with the surgeon at Fox Chase to find out about surgery.  I don’t know if I am a candidate, not sure what the criteria are, but at least I can see if they would consider me for surgery.  The one that has been most discussed is called HIPEC where they go in and remove all signs of cancer then inject heated chemo into my abdomen.  Yes it sounds awful and I am feeling anxious about talking to the surgeon.  I will take it one step at a time and see what they say.

Tomorrow I go for a follow up CT scan at Jefferson, yes it is a busy week.  I feel well and can tell the chemo is working and am hopeful the CT scan will provide more information as to where this whole mess started.

Relax with Me awhile, letting My loving Presence comfort you. In the world you will have trouble; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
