Glorious Morning

by | Nov 30, 2021

It is only 8:00 and I have been able to get so much done, all while the sun was still asleep.  I love mornings like this when I feel productive.  I have a plan in place for how my day should go, Work, Lab Test, Work, Shower, Acupuncture, Work, dinner then bed.  Not too bad of a day and boy am I grateful for the ability to work from home.

One of the items I need to tackle today is a bill from Foundation Medicine.  They are a lab that performs genetic testing and a sample of my tumor was sent there for analysis.  This has been one of the things I have found confusing because I have asked to Oncologist for the results and have been told there was not enough sample for the tests, weird considering there is a $5800 charge against my insurance.  I will have to give them a call today to find out what is going on.  It is important to have the results since it can guide my treatment depending on what mutations are found.  Again though, I am grateful I am feeling well and am able to take care of it.

Another thing I need to take care of is getting my butt back to working out.  I have my road bike set up on the trainer and zwift downloaded to my laptop.  Just have to get my butt into the basement and on the trainer.   Shouldn’t be too difficult since I do love my bike do very much and have missed her.  Any help with motivation would be most appreciated.

Also today I need to start mentally preparing myself for round 9 of chemotherapy.  I will have it on Thursday this week, after a visit with the oncology nurse, my 52 birthday.  I debated changing the date of my chemo so I could enjoy by birthday chemo free but ultimately decided this is a part of my life now and I need to get used to it.  That being said, I decided to take Thursday and Friday off as vacation days so I can chill at home without worrying about getting back to work.  I can do it!!!

Todays gratitude for working from home so I can stay inside where it is warm, at home exercise equipment to keep active and again my family for always being there to support me.
